Hi, I’m Cristina Gurguta — an AI and data science leader with 15 years of experience driving enterprise-wide AI strategy, innovation, and transformation across global manufacturing, sustainability, finance, and commercial domains.

 

Right now, I’m Director of Research & Innovation and Associate Partner at INSUS AG (Industrial Sustainable Solutions, Switzerland/Romania), where I own the end-to-end AI innovation portfolio for energy-intensive industries — think cement, chemicals, steel, and utilities. I’m also the founder and AI consultant behind The Baby Data Scientist, through which I deliver AI strategy advisory, AI literacy programs, and enterprise readiness consulting to corporate clients.

 

Before this, I spent two years at Holcim as AI & ML Manager for Strategic Portfolios, leading a global team of up to 25 AI and data professionals. I delivered 15+ enterprise AI projects across Holcim’s business lines and upskilled over 1,500 employees through the AI & ML Accelerator and AI for Business programs.

 

Earlier in my career, I worked as a Senior Data Scientist at Dell Technologies (2017–2022), Credit Data Scientist at Deutsche Telekom, EMEA Site Operations at Indeed, and held analytics roles at Accenture, Oracle, and Symantec. That mix gave me something I value a lot: deep technical roots combined with real business transformation experience — not one or the other.
